Alerting all Kehlani fans! The two-time Grammy winner is finally announcing the release of her highly anticipated new album. The self-titled Kehlani, the singer/songwriter’s fifth studio album, will arrive April 24. The upcoming album follows their last release, 2024’s Crash.
Citing the R&B star’s emotive vocals, insightful storytelling and genre-bending sound, the announcement notes the self-titled project “presents Kehlani fully in her element — raw, reflective and unapologetically herself.”
Kehlani’s arrival follows in the wake of a whirlwind 2025 for the artist, thanks to their global R&B/pop crossover anthem “Folded.” The seven-time Grammy nominee won their first two golden gramophones at the 68th annual ceremony in February: best R&B performance and best R&B song for “Folded.” And on April 29, Kehlani will be presented with the Impact Award at Billboard Women in Music 2026. They will also do a special performance at the event as well.
Kehlani has achieved several other career milestones as well by way of “Folded.” Peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, the single marked Kehlani’s first top 10 on that chart. The song also scored No. 1 on three other Billboard charts: Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay. “Folded” additionally spurred the release of the “Folded Homage Pack” that featured remixes by R&B stars Toni Braxton, Brandy, JoJo, Mario, Ne-Yo and Tank. The song has since amassed more than 800 million global streams and peaked at No. 22 on Billboard’s Global 200.
Kehlani also released a second single last year, “Out the Window.” It reached the top 10 of the Rhythmic Airplay and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
